Homemade protein bars

Seriously, who of you likes the taste of protein bars? I don’t. And so I decided to make them my own way. I took 5 dl oats, 1,5 dl vanilla flavoured protein powder, 6 egg whites, 1 dl sliced almonds, a pinch of salt and mixed it all with a tablespoon After that I shaped small bars and put them in the oven (150°C – 20 minutes). Just in case you want them to be sweeter: try to add a mashed banana.

Have already tried two bars – they are so delicious! And the texture is very soft. Yummy!


Breakfast Cookie

As you may know I am not that type of person having sweet breakfasts. I prefer my turkey sandwiches or scrambled eggs. But today I tried something new. Based on this recipe I just changed the ingredients because I wanted the cookie to taste like ‘Weetabix’. So I took:

  • 1 crushed Weetabix cookie (about 20 g, you can also take oats)
  • 1 tbsp spelt flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp stevia powder
  • cinnamon, salt
  • 3 tbsp yoghurt

Then I just mixed everything together and formed a cookie with my hands. I topped the cookie with some raisins and put it in the microwave for about 3 minutes  (600 w). – So I got a delicious and healthy breakfast. And there was yoghurt, clementines and black tea as well. Yummy!

Homemade Granola


Today I made granola for my breakfast muesli. I just took the nuts and oats I could find in our panty. So these are my ingredients:

  • 150 g rolled oats
  • 50 g sliced almonds
  • 50 g raisins
  • 20 g coconut flakes
  • 20 g bran
  • 25 ml sunflower oil
  • 2 egg whites
  • cinnamon

I mixed all together in a bowl and then roasted the crumbles in the oven (15 min, 180°C). Have already tasted the granola when it was warm – yummy!
