Today I had a very special run. I completed 8 km at the end of a super hot summer day – and it was still about 30° C when I came back home.
At first I was quite sceptical while putting on my running shoes, thinking about my health and so on. But guess what? The run was awesome! I never thought that the heat wouldn’t bother my body at all, but that’s just the way it was. Well, maybe I’m a summer person…
My Easter weekend has been full of satisfaction. Today I had an awesome breakfast with homemade Easter bread and my favourite muesli. Then I spend two hours outside in nature: running is the best therapy!
Seriously, who of you likes the taste of protein bars? I don’t. And so I decided to make them my own way. I took 5 dl oats, 1,5 dl vanilla flavoured protein powder, 6 egg whites, 1 dl sliced almonds, a pinch of salt and mixed it all with a tablespoon After that I shaped small bars and put them in the oven (150°C – 20 minutes). Just in case you want them to be sweeter: try to add a mashed banana.
Have already tried two bars – they are so delicious! And the texture is very soft. Yummy!
Yesterday’s baking: vegan banana-coconut muffins. I’m sorry that so much time passed since my last post. My schedule is very full at the moment. Yesterday, when I was on my way back home from work, I felt very unhappy. Standing in the shop from 9-19 made me feel dull. I sat there in the train and just wanted to run, dance or do some skipping. So the first thing I made when I came home? Well, I did a 40 minute interval workout on the bicycle ergometer. And I was so happy afterwards! It may sound akward, but I love to sweat! Then I baked some vegan banana-coconut muffins. Yummy!
Me today in the snow. It was not too cold, but just the perfect running weather. I work late today, so there was enough time for a workout. Like those days very much. I’m always happy after a morning run.
